Moscow Trip

Here we are in Moscow at a fountain near Red Square! (Michael, Mikah, Susie, Chance, Brittany)
Me in front of the fountain. It was beautiful :)
Me at the entrance to Red Square and the Kremlin Wall
Everyone in front of the Kremlin Wall at their tomb of Unknown Soldiers. (Left: Mikah, Amy, Brittany, Susie, Michael, Chance, Victoria)

Brittany standing in a circle where you throw a coin over your back and if it lands in the circle it will bring you luck. The Babushkas were picking up everyone's coins and keeping them.
This was a university in Red Square but is now a museum that holds a lot of history in it.
St. Basil's Cathedral. It is so colorful and the tomb of St. Basil is still inside.
Me inside of St. Basil's Cathedral.
Some of the rooms inside the Cathedral. It was gorgeous inside and I wish I could've seen more of it.
Everyone on the steps outside of the Cathedral.
View from the back of the Cathedral.
Part of the Old Kremlin Wall. The Old one was rebuild but they kept this part for memory's sake.
Me at the gardens outside of Red Square.
This is one of the rooms that we stayed in while in the Hostel in Moscow. It was really fun and I would recommend Bear Hostels to anyone traveling abroad. Very nice employees.
One of the Cathedrals inside the Kremlin Wall.

The military was putting on a show inside the wall just as we were entering. It was really amazing to watch and take pictures.
One of the biggest cannons ever. It was huge inside the Kremlin.

Another view of the Cathedrals. They are usually covered with gold on top which makes them look breathtaking.
This is the entrance to the outdoor market where we bought most of our souvenirs. It was a huge market and we got to practice our bargaining skills.
The famous Russian Dolls that everyone knows Russia for. They had all kinds of designs on the dolls. Everything from Cartoon Characters and Lady Gaga to Presidents and Football Players. It was fun to look at all the different kinds.
One of the buildings near Red Square at night.
This is Chili's over in Russia. Haven't tried it yet but I might here soon because I could really go for some good food American style ;)
Cathedral of the Christ Savior at night. It is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in Moscow and always has tourists there.
Some of the grounds around the Cathedral.
Beautiful statue at the Cathedral that I thought looked really interesting.
More views of the Cathedral for everyone to see.
All of us on the steps of the Cathedral. (Left: Victoria, Chance, Amy, Susie, Michael, Mikah, Brittany. I was taking the picture)
View of Red Square and the Kremlin Wall from a bridge near the Cathedral of the Christ Savior. From this bridge you could see all the main attractions of Moscow. Too bad it wasn't during the day so I could get a better picture of everything.

Sweet Things

Here is a flower that one of my students made for me from folding paper. It was really sweet and made me smile :) They are really into origami here in Russia.
Here is a painting of the Kiev Temple that one of the members did that was on display at the talent show the other night. I really like it and thought I would buy it from him so I did.

Russian Circus!!!!

Here is the arena for the circus. It really wasn't that big but it was really fun :)
Here are some of the Circus clowns. There were so funny to watch. They would do flips and twists of this bike and back up on it. I imagine that these clowns have to gymnasts with some of the stunts that they do.
Not exactly sure what kind of animals these are but they were pretty cool to watch. They were almost a cross between a raccoon and an ant eater. Weird but still kind of cute.
The classic monkeys. These guys were so cute and some of them had a little bit of an attitude which was absolutely adorable to watch. Almost makes me wish I had a pet monkey but I'm ok with my pets back at home :)
Here are some of the acrobats. There were doing all of their stunts without any catch nets which at times was really scary to watch. I can't imagine doing the splits let along on a skinny bar up 20feet in the air!
This is absolutely insane! I almost couldn't watch I was so scared someone was going to fall.
This guy was pretty cool. It must have been difficult to hang on to his cloth thing while doing all of his stunts in the air. I would've been really dizzy after doing what he did.

Here is the grand finale... the tigers! They had a total of 7 tigers in the arena at one time. I would've been terrified but it was a really good show.

 Sit pretty kitty :)
The classic jumping through the ring of fire. I really liked this picture a lot and thought it turned out wonderfully :)
Tigers have really good balance to be doing that. I probably would've fallen many times if it would've been me. I wonder how long it took them to rehearse the performance.

Hope everyone is enjoying the pictures so far! Russia is really amazing and I can't wait to see more of it. This weekend we are going to Moscow to go site seeing and maybe look into getting souvenirs so it should be really exciting! Hope to post more pictures soon!!! Miss everyone back home a lot!

A Little Bit of Everything

My Level 3 class all playing a game together
Students playing in the hallway during break.
 Garfield sleeping on my bed
My and Daniel in my classroom after class
A hillside by where I live out in the country.
The road to our house that Victoria and I walk every morning and evening.
Here are some of the houses along the road before we get to our house.
A random field near our house.
More houses near the place where I live. Most people have fences around their house and grow many plants and flowers. They really are quite beautiful.

 Here's my house!
This is the front of the house. We have a button that we push to open the gate which is the only way we can get onto the property.

Here is some of the money we use here. The currency is called Rubels and Kopecks.
Here's some more pictures of my Level 3 afternoon class :)
This is Victoria covering for a Primary teacher who was sick. She was teaching the children how to make pizza with french bread, tomato sauce, cheese, and olives.
